The good news is that a playthrough will only take you 1 1/2 to 2 hours, maybe even faster once you're more familiar with the puzzles. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like anyone has succeeded in getting both endings in one playthrough via cloud saves, dashboarding, or any other method so you will need two. Another achievement requires that you experience both endings. Only 1 of the game's 15 achievements is missable, requiring a simple action you can carry out near the end of the game. Because this guide includes those codes, you'll be able to bypass a good portion of the exploration sections if you so desire. During these puzzles, snippets of the plot are revealed to the player.Throughout the story, you will alternate between solving these color-based puzzles and exploring the hotel for codes that unlock the puzzle rooms. Eventually, the player is allowed to use these colors to teleport around the levels using specifically placed panels. The game’s main mechanic focuses on the colors of blocks, swapping them around to bypass, or stand upon, different colored gates. However, due to the system rejecting Alex’s credentials, it is forced upon him to explore each floor of the hotel, where the main mechanics of the game and puzzle elements are found. Cooper contacts him soon afterward, initially attempting to lead him to the rooftop, explaining that he is trapped within a simulation against his will. During breakfast, the world slowly begins to distort around him. With no memory of his arrival and the hotel being run by few robotic assistants, he eventually finds a circular phone, connecting him to ‘Cooper’. You play as Alex who wakens in the Penrose hotel in the game, finding it to be empty. The game released in 2018 was both praised and criticized for having two distinct art styles and gameplay sections. This game is developed by Dan Smith from the age of 15, over a five-year period.
